Academy of Yavneh כרם ביבנה

The center of Jewish law and leadership between the destruction of the Second Temple and the Bar Kokhba revolt. Founded by Rabban Yochanan ben Zakkai with Roman permission, it is where the Sanhedrin reconvened, post-Temple Judaism was reorganized, and the liturgy standardized.
