Yehoram of Israel יהורם

Second son of Achav to reign, last king of the house of Omri. He marched with Yehoshafat against Mesha of Moab — the campaign of Elisha's water miracle — and died at Yizre'el with Yehu's arrow through his heart, his body thrown into Navot's field. Mesha's own stele memorializes Moab's revolt in his days.

biblical ★★★★★
Mesha king of Moab was a sheep-breeder who rendered to the king of Israel a hundred thousand lambs and the wool of a hundred thousand rams; when Achav died, the king of Moab rebelled against the king of Israel — the revolt Yehoram marched to crush with Yehoshafat and Edom. biblical ★★★★★
Yehu drew his bow with full strength and struck Yehoram between his arms; the arrow came out at his heart, and he sank in his chariot — thrown onto the plot of Navot the Yizre'eli, per the word of God. biblical ★★★★★
The Mesha Stele is the Moabite king's own monument to that revolt — "Omri king of Israel oppressed Moab many days, and his son succeeded him, and he too said: I will oppress Moab... and Israel perished forever"; the Tel Dan Stele's restored lines may also name "[Jeho]ram son of [Ahab]" as the king slain in Hazael's war.
Mesha's inscription is contemporary and explicit about the house of Omri; the Tel Dan royal names are partly reconstructed.
external archaeology ★★★★☆
The placement (reigned 3050–3062 AM) is a schematic Mesorah Atlas reconstruction: the northern kings' regnal years stated in Kings are chained forward from the division of the kingdom in 2964 AM, with sub-year reigns counted as zero; the chain closes exactly at the fall of Shomron in 3205 AM (Chizkiyahu's sixth year, Melachim II 18:10). The cited source states the reign's length, not absolute dates.
The cited sources establish relative chronology or regnal duration; they do not state the absolute AM range.
