Son of Yoshiyahu, installed and renamed by Pharaoh Neco, then vassal to Nevuchadnetzar for three years before rebelling. He is Yirmiyahu's (Yirmiyahu) royal antagonist: the king who sliced the prophet's scroll column by column into the brazier fire.
