Rabbi Shila רבי שילא
"Resh sidra" — head of the order — in Bavel at Rav's arrival, before whom Rav himself stood as interpreter; only at his death did the question of headship fall to Rav and Shmuel. His school, Bei Rav Shila, is the Talmud's; tradition seats it at Nehardea.
