Liadi ליאדי

Small town in White Russia where R' Shneur Zalman — "the Alter Rebbe" — settled after his release from imprisonment in 1801, and from which he is surnamed "of Liadi." He led the Chabad movement from here until fleeing Napoleon's advance in 1812.
